Preparing for Your Mobile Detailing Appointment
Very little is required of you, but a few minutes of preparation makes the appointment run better and faster.

What we need
- **Space.** Roughly a parking space plus room to walk fully around the vehicle with the doors open.
- **A reasonably level surface.** A driveway, garage or parking space is ideal.
- **Shade, ideally.** A garage or shaded driveway improves both comfort and results, particularly in summer.
- **Permission,** if it is an apartment complex, business lot or HOA-governed property.
Water and power
We arrive self-contained with our own water and power, so no hookup is required. If you are happy for us to use an outdoor tap it can be convenient, but it is genuinely optional — this matters most at apartments and workplaces where no external supply exists.
Before we arrive
- Remove personal items, valuables, documents and anything in the trunk you would rather we did not handle.
- Empty child seats, or tell us in advance if you would like them removed and refitted — we do not refit them, for liability reasons.
- Take out anything sentimental or fragile.
- Point out specific concerns: a stain, an odour, a scratch, a leak. It changes how we approach the job.
During and after
You do not need to be present for the whole appointment, provided we can access the vehicle and reach you if something needs a decision. Many customers leave for work and come back to a finished car.
Timing depends on the service: a wash is around an hour, an interior detail three to six, a full detail most of a day, and correction with a coating can require more than one day. We will give you a realistic window when booking rather than an optimistic one.
After extraction, carpets may be slightly damp for an hour or two — dry Texas heat helps considerably. After a coating, we will explain the cure period and what to avoid during it.
Weather
Light overcast is ideal. Rain postpones exterior work, and we will contact you rather than turn up and do a compromised job. In peak summer we schedule early where possible, because paint temperature affects what can be done safely and well.
Common questions
- Do I need to be home?
Not necessarily. We need vehicle access and a way to reach you if a question comes up.
- Can you detail at my apartment?
Where the property allows on-site vehicle work, yes. Check with management first — policies vary.
- Do you need my water or electricity?
No. We arrive fully self-contained.
- What happens if it rains?
We reschedule exterior work. Interior work can usually still proceed under cover.
